Chapter One

Hello World!

Welcome to my “Retired at 45 Years Old” blog!

No, I am not retired, nor am I 45 years old. I am a 35-years-old accountant working in corporate America, aiming to escape the infamous “rat race”. I created this blog as a means to hold myself accountable for my dream of quitting my job and accumulating enough F-U money to embrace life to the fullest. I have an immense passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures, and my ultimate goal is to do that full-time before my body becomes too weary to explore.

So, what’s my retirement goal, you ask? Brace yourself, it might seem ambitious, but here it is:

GOALS UNTIL 2032.

Investments: Reach $3,000,000 ($120,000/year * 25) in my investment or cash portfolio. This assumes my monthly expenses remain at $10,000/month. I know it sounds like a lot, but trust me, the cost of living in NYC is mind-boggling!

Real Estate: Acquire 20 investment properties or generate $10,000/month in passive income from real estate – whichever comes first.

Active Income: Attain an annual income of $500,000.

Health: Eliminate the need for blood pressure medication and shed 45 pounds.

I am thrilled to share my journey with you, and I sincerely hope you’ll join me along the way! Let’s make retirement dreams and a life of adventure a reality!
