The mainstream media makes it look like a breeze—just do the BRRRR method or flip a house, and BOOM, you’re sipping cocktails on a yacht.

Everyone’s got a “why,” and usually, it’s the usual suspects: escaping the dreaded “rat race,” spending more time with family, pursuing passions, or jetting off on epic adventures. My “why” is just as cliché as everyone else’s, but let me tell you why I desperately need to bid farewell to my job and retire at the ripe old age of 45.

No, I am not retired, nor am I 45 years old. I am a 35-years-old accountant working in corporate America, aiming to escape the infamous “rat race”. I created this blog as a means to hold myself accountable for my dream of quitting my job and accumulating enough F-U money to embrace life to the fullest. I have an immense passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures, and my ultimate goal is to do that full-time before my body becomes too weary to explore.
